Not Your Average Chiropractor

I’m Dr. Joel Haase and I have been in private practice for 18 years. I consider myself a Chiropractor, an artist, a philosopher and a scientist in that order.

Being a Chiropractor is my passion. For me,

Chiropractic is not about adjusting patients like I’m running an assembly line, it’s about discovering the mental and emotional reasons why you need the adjustment.

When you and I know why you are having the symptom, the correction works so much better. I am fascinated by how your mind and body work together.

Early in my career, I discovered that there were some people that I just could not seem to help. My Chiropractic corrections didn’t seem to last and I wanted to know why. I discovered, over a period of time, that some of my patients could not get well because their maladaptive emotions, beliefs and opinions would always get in their way. It was as if they had built a wall around themselves so that even the best corrections could not penetrate.

During my studies, I made a really cool and amazing discovery. Your emotions come directly from what you think. What you think comes directly from who and what you think you are. You feel what you think and you think who you are.

What’s causing your health issues? I believe that a large percentage of your health issues are due to what you think. My passion is show you this in a safe, non-judgmental, beautiful and powerful way.

What do I do outside the office?

I spend a lot of time in my organic gardens and orchard. I love to grow food and flowers. I am also a photographer and I love to search for, find and photograph the beauty that is all around me. I enjoy cooking and watching people cook on TV. I’m also having a lot of fun and fascination learning the Portuguese language.

My Story

My story begins at the moment I understood the Subluxation Complex. I was hooked immediately by the Subluxation Complex and it’s still one of my favorite thoughts. In Chiropractic School, I was taught that the Subluxation Complex was the cause of disease. I agreed and I devoured Chiropractic Philosophy like no other.

A subluxation is the condition of a vertebrae that has somehow lost its proper position with the vertebrae above it or below it, that impinges spinal nerves and interferes with the transmission of mental impulses between the brain and the body. As a result, the body lacks communication and behaves in a disease-like manner and it results in disease. This is the traditional and a most basic Chiropractic philosophy.

Once I understood this, I simply asked the question why? If the subluxation is the true cause of disease, which I knew to be true, what caused the subluxation? This is my story and  this is where I begin.

and this is where I begin. this is where I begin.

My Philosophy

My philosophy is that Chiropractic is a deductive science, deductive philosophy and a deductive art.

It’s based upon the premise that life is intelligent; that there is an intelligent Creator, Who has created matter and energy, attends to its existence and gives to it all that it has.

Dr. Joel Haase, D.C., received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic and is a licensed chiropractor serving in Lansing, MI for the past 18 years.

Dr. Haase also served in the Marine Corps for four years. He was personally trained by Dr. Victor Frank; founder of Total Body Modification; with Dr. Scott Walker, the founder of Neuro-Emotional Technique; and Dr. Dick Versendaal, the founder of Contact Reflex Analysis.

At Kardia Chiropractic Clinic, Dr. Haase provides a professional and personal level of care, taking the time to understand all of the issues with each patient before developing a treatment plan.

With his alternative form of chiropractic care, Dr. Haase offers an entirely different style of painless care to help better the overall health of patients.
